In this style of bodywork, our therapists draw upon a combination of modalities and massage therapies, including Shiatsu and Thai massage, which are traditionally practised on the floor, on a futon. Tailoring our response to your body’s needs, the session can be practised with, or without oil.
Our floor-based bodywork sessions are intentionally designed to create the space, depth, and time needed to connect with the physical and emotional tensions present and understand the support and knowledge needed for release.
A full body, comprehensive massage, allows for intimate and detailed therapeutic touch to bring the body into a deeper space of letting go. With ample time for the body to drop into the treatment, our bodyworkers guide you to sink into your unique rhythm of breath, sensation, release, and deep rest.
We see massage as a collaborative process between practitioner and client, that takes working together with breath, sound, movement, and communication to unravel the body's tensions. Sometimes the result is simply luxurious. Other times, the body becomes a pathway to self-awareness and a deeper connection to the physical and emotional bodies. Most often, it is a combination of both. However your treatment unfolds, you will leave with a sense of ease, release, reset, and relaxation.
