An introduction to the foundational principles and techniques of table-based bodywork, with a focus on the front body, what we call the Vulnerable Line: the jaw, belly, head, pelvis, and hips, where we hold our most emotionally exposed tension.

You will learn a clear, practical framework for working with tension in the body: how to listen through your hands, how to support release, and how to help the nervous system settle through skilful, attuned touch.

Held in an intentionally small group, this course offers a hands-on, immersive learning environment with space for direct feedback, refinement, and real-time practice.

Across the three days you will:
• Build a dynamic, adaptable touch toolkit for working the front body
• Explore embodied anatomy and myofascial principles
• Learn detailed technique for the jaw, belly, pelvis, and hips
• Develop confidence and clarity working on the table
• Deepen your own embodied awareness through guided self-practice and reflection
• Receive bodywork as part of the learning process
• Take home a set of myofascial release balls
• Connect within a small, like-minded learning community

This course is for you if:
• You are curious to expand your understanding of touch and being with the body
• You work in allied health and want to broaden your hands-on skills
• You love caring for friends and family through massage and want more confidence, clarity, and structure in how you offer touch
• You want to complete Bodyworks Foundations in one immersive weekend rather than across eight weeks

Bodyworks Foundations is a place to begin, or to return, to the intelligence of the hands, and to develop a way of working that is responsive, intuitive, and grounded in practice. Working the Vulnerable Line, the front body, means working with some of the most emotionally exposed tissue we hold.
