WORKSHOP
Touch Literacy August
A space for exploring the language of touch.
Many of us want to feel more confident in offering touch, to care for the people around us, to listen with our hands, or to move beyond habitual gestures like the shoulder squeeze.
Touch Literacy is a monthly drop-in session for building skill, confidence, and connection through the practice of touch.
Come with a partner, friend, housemate, or solo. These sessions are open to all levels of experience.
Together, in a small group, we’ll explore simple techniques and embodied principles that support safe, attuned, and responsive touch. Each month, we’ll focus on different areas of the body or styles of touch, shaped by the needs and interests of the group.
This is not a clinical training; it’s a space to get curious, to listen through your hands, and to learn how to offer and receive touch with care, presence, and respect.
Date: August 17th
Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Where: Bodyworks, 359 St Georges Road, Fitzroy North
